The oviposition site preference of females of Chrysoperla scelestes (Brinckochrysa scelestes), which is an important predator of pests such as Heliothis armigera Spodoptera litura and aphids in India, on cotton and green gram was studied in the laboratory. Of 126 eggs laid on cotton plants, 38.39% were laid on the lower surface of leaves, followed by 21.43% on branches, 19.05% on the upper leaf surface, 6.35% on petioles, 6.35% on flowers and/or squares, 5.56% on stems and 2.38% on bolls.
