Phosphorus influence on the reproductive ability of a biotype E greenbug

Iraqi Journal of Agricultural Sciences, ' ZANCO' 6(4): 77-86

Four phosphorus levels (0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 ml/litre) were used in a half-strength solution containing a consistent level of nitrogen necessary for plant growth of sorghum in the laboratory. At 0.2 ml/litre phosphorus, the reproductive level of the aphid Schizaphis graminum biotype E was highest, indicating susceptibility to infestation.
