Photosynthesis and respiration of cultivars of tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.)
Variability of photosynthetic rate (PN), dark respiration (RD) and light respiration (RL) was studied in F. arundinacea cultivars from the USA (Alta, Triumph, Mo-96 and Ky-31), France (Ludion) and Czechoslovakia (Lekora), grown in pots. The patterns of the light curves of photosynthesis were determined and the photosynthetic efficiency ( alpha ) of the different cultivars was calculated.
