Abstract
A checklist of 133 species of aphids which are found in Greece is given with details of their host plants, including several crops. Myzus persicae, Aphis gossypii, A. fabae and Toxoptera aurantii are the most important pest species. The population dynamics of cereal aphids were studied in a wheat field in Greece in November 1982-May 1983. Three species, Sitobion avenae, Metopolophium dirhodum and Rhopalosiphum padi, were recorded. The highest numbers of aphids occurred on inflorescences and S. avenae was the most common species.
