Salt distribution in soils-a comparison study on the influence of irrigation with saline water using furrow and drip irrigation

Zemljiste i Biljka 37(1): 25-54

Four different quantities of salinized water and drip and furrow irrigation were used to estimate the distribution of salts throughout the soil profile with respect to the soil depth and distance from the water source, in an experiment at Brindisi, Italy, on a sandy clay soil. The results showed that most of the soluble salts remained at the soil surface.
