Seasonal variation in 25-OH vitamin D in plasma of Hong Kong Chinese
A simple separation system based on that of Hollis and Frank (Journal of Chromatography (1985) 343, 43-49) was used to estimate 25-hydroxyvitamin D in blood plasma from 47 young healthy Hong Kong Chinese. Mean concentration (+or- s.d.) in September, 26.8 +or- 5.7, was significantly higher than in January, 23.4 +or- 6.3 mu g/litre.
