Some aspects of potassium and magnesium in a compact red ferrallitic soil

Some aspects of potassium and magnesium in a compact red ferrallitic soil

Occasional Publication, Instituto Superior de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Habana 1512: 57

Field experiments were carried out with pineapple as the test plant in order to study: (1) the evolution in soil of potassium applied at 2 rates (10 and 20 kg K2O/plant) as KCl or K2SO4; and (2) the effect of different rates of KCl and MgSO4 on the evolution of the different forms of K and on exchangeable Mg in soil. KCl and K2SO4 had similar effects on soluble and exchangeable K in soil.
