Sources of resistance to turcicum leaf blight of maize caused by Exserohilum turcicum (Pass) Leonard & Suggs

When 94 genotypes, inoculated by the whorl method, were tested at Kalimpong under field conditions, only 4 were resistant to E. turcicum (Philippine DMR-1, Philippine DMR-Comp, Virendra and Ganga-5). A further 8 were moderately resistant and 29 moderately susceptible, but the remainder were susceptible or highly susceptible.
