Statistically substantiated quick test to appraise fruit wood samples for the presence of winter eggs of fruit tree red spider mites in high-density apple growing

Statistically substantiated quick test to appraise fruit wood samples for the presence of winter eggs of fruit tree red spider mites in high-density apple growing

Nachrichtenblatt fur den Pflanzenschutz in der DDR 40(8): 174-176

Attention is drawn to the importance of quick tests to monitor pests and standing crops. The examination of 375 random samples, each comprising 20 fruit wood pieces in the German Democratic Republic, revealed a regression between mean egg numbers of Panonychus ulmi per unit area and the number of fruit wood pieces of apple containing more than 100 eggs.
