Status of rice pests and measures of control in the double cropping area of the Muda Irrigation Scheme, Malaysia

Status of rice pests and measures of control in the double cropping area of the Muda Irrigation Scheme, Malaysia

Tropical Agriculture Research Series (20): 107-115

Double cropping of rice was first implemented in the Muda area of Malaysia in 1970 and has resulted in an increase in cropping intensity, modification of the field microclimate and changes in the species dominance of rice pests. The status of rice pests and diseases in this area and measures for their control are discussed.
