Streamline herbicide release of red pine (Pinus resinosa)

Streamline herbicide release of red pine (Pinus resinosa)

Proceedings, North Central Weed Control Conference (Vol. 41): 107-109

Trials were conducted at Bear Lake, Minnesota on unevenly stocked P. resinosa plantations with competing vegetation comprising primarily aspen (Populus spp.), hazel willow (Salix spp.) and juneberry (Amelanchier canadensis). Herbicides were assessed to suppress hardwood vegetation and create a free-to-grow situation in the immediate vicinity of the conifers with minimum damage to P. resinosa.
