Studies of sterigmatocystin (ST) produced by Aspergillus versicolor in human gastric juice in vitro. Section II. Effects of pH and cultured time on A. versicolor's producing ST and growing

Proceedings of the Japanese Association of Mycotoxicology (Suppl 1): 129-130

The effects of pH and culture time on growth and ST production by A. versicolor were investigated. A. versicolor strs. grew in culture media pH 3-8 and mycelial weights were greater at pH 6.5 and 8.0 than at pH 1.0 and 3.0. ST was produced at pH 6.5 and/or pH 8.0 depending upon the culture media.
