Studies on rice breeding for disease resistance III. Analyses on the resistance to some strains of Xanthomonas campestris pv. oryzae in the major rice cultivars in China

In a test on 32 hsien (indica) and 42 keng (japonica) rice cultivars using 6 strains of X. campestris pv. oryzae, 78% of the hsien cultivars were susceptible, but 6, including the control, IR20, were highly resistant to all the 6 strains.
