Studies on the course of infection and sporulation of Septoria tritici Rob. ex Desm. on winter wheat in the Reussenkoog (North Friesland district)

Studies on the course of infection and sporulation of Septoria tritici Rob. ex Desm. on winter wheat in the Reussenkoog (North Friesland district)

Gesunde Pflanzen 41(1): 2-8

The epidemiology of S. tritici (Mycosphaerella graminicola) was studied during 1979-83 in a winter wheat monoculture on the W. coast of Schleswig-Holstein, GFR. Infection and conidial production were insignificant during the winter, but increased with increasing temp. As the season progressed, conidia migrated upwards from leaf to leaf as far as the flag leaf.
