Studies on the effect of copper fertilizer in the cultivation of some plant species

In field trials in 1978-84 on loamy sand, light loam and medium-heavy loam 0, 5, 10 or 20 kg Cu/ha was applied to winter wheat in a wheat/sugarbeet/maize/Vicia faba rotation. Yields of all 4 crops were highest with 10 kg Cu/ha. Soil Cu content also increased with Cu application rate. Optimal and toxic Cu contents in each species were determined.
