Studies on the foliar application of nutrients and plant growth regulators in Sardar guava (Psidium guajava L.). I. Effect on yield and fruit quality

Data are tabulated on fruit length, breadth, weight and composition and on yield/tree in respoonse to various treatments, singly or in combination. Maximum size fruits were obtained applying 2% urea + 0.4% ZnSO4 + 250 p.p.m. Ethrel + 10 p.p.m. NAA. However, 0.2% borax or 1% K2SO4 was almost as effective and less costly. The fruit weight was greatest with the borax treatment. Fruit yield/tree was highest with borax + Ethrel + NAA.
