Study on the chemical properties of Korean local tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.)

Twelve local Korean tobacco cultivars were grown in a field trial and results compared with data on KA101, Br.21 and NC82. Yields of local cultivars ranged from 0.94 to 2.25 t/ha for Byeolcho and Daruma, resp. Cultivar Hyangcho had the best aroma, leaf colour and texture of local cultivars.
