Symptomatology and occurrence of apple mosaic and prunus necrotic ringspot viruses on rose in New York

, : Symptomatology and occurrence of apple mosaic and prunus necrotic ringspot viruses on rose in New York. Acta Horticulturae (234): 437-450

Field grown roses in New York, USA were surveyed during 1983-86 by visual symptoms and by ELISA to determine the incidence and the expression of virus infections. Viral symptom expression varied from year to year among the 19 cultivars surveyed. Apple mosaic ilarvirus (ApMV) infected rose foliage had more chlorotic patches, puckering and distortion than prunus necrotic ringspot ilarvirus (PNRSV) infected foliage; whereas, PNRSV infected foliage exhibited more mosaic and mottling symptoms.

Epinephrine is unique among biogenic catecholamines as a potent agonist of β2-adrenoceptors.
