After 1 injection of 165 micro g Oestrophan (PGF2 alpha ), 74% of goats came into oestrus within 8 days, compared with 34% after 3 injections each of 30 mg progesterone. Duration of the oestrous cycle after treatment averaged 16.8 and 22.7 days resp., and duration of oestrus 33.0 and 28.5 h.
