, : Synchronous dichogamy in a Mexican anonillo Rollinia jimenezii var. nelsonii (Annonaceae). Contributions from the University of Michigan Herbarium 16: 173-178

Anthesis, stigmatic receptivity and the proportions of male and female flower stages were studied for 2 days on 2 isolated trees in southern Veracruz. Floral synchrony was also studied on 2 additional trees on forest edges during 15-26 May 1983. The flowers were strongly protogynous with the stigmatic caps of all flowers abscising several hours before pollen release in the same flowers, thus eliminating opportunities for autogamy.
