Synthesis of new, unnatural macrocyclic trichothecenes: 3-isoverrucarin A ((1-O)(3->4)abeo-verrucarin A), verrucinol, and verrucene

, : Synthesis of new, unnatural macrocyclic trichothecenes: 3-isoverrucarin A ((1-O)(3->4)abeo-verrucarin A), verrucinol, and verrucene. Helvetica Chimica Acta 71(8): 1895-1903

An analogue of verrucarin A, named 3-isoverrucarin A ((1"-O)(3->4)abeo-verrucarin A), was synthesized and 2 macrocyclic by-products, named verrucinol and verrucene, were formed during the cyclization process.
