, : Synthesis of nitrated benzo and dibenzothiazepines as potential antiparasitic drugs. European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry 23(4): 403-405

Nitrated benzothiazepine and dibenzothiazepine derivatives were synthesized and 3 of them were tested against protozoa, helminths and Biomphalaria glabrata. None was active against Hymenolepis nana in mice. Derivatives 13 (nitro-2-dibenzohiazepin-1,4 one 11) and 14 ((methyl-4 piperazinyl)-11 nitro-2-dibenzohiazepin-1,4) showed slight activity in vitro against Entamoeba histolytica and Trichomonas vaginalis.
