, : System and trends in the integration of agriculture and the canning industry. Internationale Agrarindustrie Zeitschrift ( 2): 102-104

The canning and bottling industry is an important part of Bulgaria's domestic food industry. After meeting home demand it is able to export some 82%-85% of its output, 75% to the USSR. Up to 1970, factories obtained their raw materials by contract arrangements with individual farms. In the period 1970-76 a number of small processing units were set up and agroindustrial enterprises created with fairly simple economic links between suppliers and processors.
