System for collection of data, and control of milking units and machines for feed distribution, using microcomputers

, : System for collection of data, and control of milking units and machines for feed distribution, using microcomputers. Vestnik Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Nauki, Moscow, USSR ( 4): 149-152

A computerized system developed in Czechoslovakia for automated milking and feeding of cows is described. The system is based on a SAPU-1 microcomputer, with an 8080A 8-bit microprocessor and 48K memory. This microcomputer, linked to a central computer, controls the milking process with the aid of an 8035 microprocessor located inside the milking machine, based on signals received from milk flow meters and temperature sensors.
