System identification of a diesel engine: throttle-smoke response

, : System identification of a diesel engine: throttle-smoke response. Paper, American Society of Agricultural Engineers (Paper 88-1563): 21

An empirical model for diesel engine control was obtained using a system identification method. A pseudo-random binary sequence was used as an input signal. Spectral analysis was used to find the frequency response of the system.
