Systematic computer study of modernized ammonia synthesis columns with plate heat exchangers

, : Systematic computer study of modernized ammonia synthesis columns with plate heat exchangers. Soviet Chemical Industry 20(8): 1-8

The technicoeconomic characteristics of ammonia synthesis plants can be improved by extensive use of plate heat-exchange equipment which has high heat-transfer coefficients, higher compactness and low metal consumption. A systematic study of ammonia synthesis columns with plate heat exchangers was made on the basis of the theoretical laws of the processes in the reactor and heat exchanger with extensive use of computers.
