The systemic insecticides, acephate (Orthene 75% WP), dimethoate (Perfekthion 50% EC) and methamidophos (Monitor 20% EC) were injected into 3-year-old coconut palms at 2.5 or 5.0 g a.i./palm for control of the chrysomelid Brontispa longissima in Western Samoa.
