The enemies of fruit trees in Quebec in 1987

The incidence, injuriousness and (briefly) control of about 25 arthropod pests and several diseases of tree fruits (mainly apple) in Quebec in 1987 are reported and compared with those for 1986. The average total arthropod damage at harvest in commercial orchards was 4.7%, as compared with 10.1% in 1986. Mirids were the most important direct pests: Lygus lineolaris caused 1.9% damage to the fruits of apple.
