Data on the lactations of 152 596 milk-recorded Simmental cows and of Simmentals with 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, superscript 3/4 and 7/8 Red and White Holstein breeding were analysed. For females of the 7 breed types, age at 1st calving averaged 996, 974, 963, 946, 933, 923 and 905 days resp.
