The primary structure of soybean (Glycine max) ubiquitin is identical to other plant ubiquitins

Nucleic Acids Research 16(23): 11377-11377

The primary structure of soybean (Glycine max) ubiquitin is identical to other plant ubiquitins

The nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences of the soyabean ubiquitin gene are given. A root nodule cDNA library containing sequences common to both root and nodules was screened with a yeast ubiquitin cDNA probe. Hybridization was performed in 50% formamide at 39 degrees C. Two hybridizing clones were recovered and sequenced by the dideoxy termination method. The sequence was determined from the 3' non-coding region over more than one ubiquitin repeat into the coding region.
