The use of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to study tissues of mice infected with Trichinella spiralis and T. pseudospiralis

The changes at a submolecular level in tissues of mice uninfected and infected with T. spiralis and T. pseudospiralis larvae were studied by spectrometry (NMR). Changes in proton T1 and T2 relaxation times were determined in muscles, spleen and lymph nodes. Infection with Trichinella larvae changed the proton T1 and T2 relaxation times in all tissues during days 14-168 pi.
