Use of passive solar heating system to improve greenhouse bio-climate



CNRE Bulletin European Cooperative Networks on Rural Energy, Italy ( 21): 34-37



Two greenhouses in Tunisia were heated with passive solar sleeves and compared to a control greenhouse; an EVA (expanded polyvinyl acetate) plastic greenhouse was equipped with 8 solar sleeves and a polyethylene clad greenhouse had 4 such sleeves. The efficiency of the solar energy recovery in passive solar sleeves is illustrated by a graph.
