Use of rice polish as partial replacement of wheat in the diet of growing chicks

Bangladesh Journal of Animal Science 18(1&2): 99-104

The effect of using rice polishings in place of wheat in diets of 5-week-old Rhode Island Red chickens was studied. Diets contained 15, 30 or 45% rice polishings (groups T1, T2 and T3, respectively). Highest average final body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed efficiency and feed cost were in T1 > T2 > T3. Average cost of feed/kg liveweight was in T2 > T3 > T1.
