Use of swelling soils for impervious earthfill structures

Use of swelling soils for impervious earthfill structures

Proceedings 6th International Conference on Expansive Soils, New Delhi, 1-4 December 1987 Volume 1: 391-394

This paper deals with some particular properties of high-swelling polymeric/mineral composite and sand mixtures. High seepage control efficiency of such mixtures has been proved. Consideration is given to the possibility of their application for seepage-resistant elements in hydraulic structures.
