Use of ultraweak biochemiluminescence to studies of frost resistance of the rape cotyledons

Use of ultraweak biochemiluminescence to studies of frost resistance of the rape cotyledons

Cruciferae Newsletter (13): 117

The effect of freeze-thaw action in the cotyledons of rape on their ultra-weak biochemiluminescence (UBCL) was studied in 2 varieties, the more frost resistant Gorczanski and the less resistant Jantar. Thawing increased the UBCL intensity of Jantar cotyledons more rapidly than that of Gorczanski cotyledons.
