Lachesis compositum for veterinary use contains homeopathic doses of Lachesis, Pyrogenium, Echinacea angustifolia, Pulsatilla and Sabina. Nineteen cows were treated with Lachesis compositum 15 ml s.c. on three occasions before calving. Of these 2 retained the placenta; 15 calved normally without help, 3 required some attention and one had a complicated delivery.
