Use of whole grape seeds in the feeding of meat rabbits

Use of whole grape seeds in the feeding of meat rabbits

Zootecnica e Nutrizione Animale 14(4): 341-348

From mean liveweight 1040 g for 49 days 58 Hyla hybrid rabbits were freely given pelleted feeds equal in protein without or with 15% whole grape seed meal replacing most of the dried lucerne meal. Net energy in the feeds, estimated from digestibility coefficients in 4 New Zealand White rabbits was 1664.6 and 1853.8 kcal/kg, respectively. Mean daily gain in the feeding trial was 28.68 and 31.40 g and feed conversion indices 3.79 and 3.45, respectively. Carcass weight was 1638.64 and 1754.52 g.
