Use of yellow traps on the control of citrus aphids (Homoptera, Aphididae)

Use of yellow traps on the control of citrus aphids (Homoptera, Aphididae)

Boletin de Sanidad Vegetal, Plagas 15(2): 175-185

The flight and the evolution of the population of the 4 main aphid species (Aphis citricola A. frangulae gossypii Myzus persicae and Toxoptera aurantii) attacking citrus was observed on clementine trees in Spain in 1985-88 using yellow traps. The observations were carried out during spring (April-May), which is the time of highest infestation. Catches at ground level and 70 cm above ground were compared.
