A handbook of the 100 African hardwoods most commonly used in Italy, containing colour plates of each timber, a list of the species most frequently used for specific end uses in relation to the technological characteristics of the timbers, and details of the botanic and common names, wood anatomy, physical and mechanical properties, durability, wood preservation, working properties (including harmful effects of the wood dust) and uses of each species in alphabetical order by common name.
