Windbreaks of Grevillea robusta - effects on wind speed, soil moisture and coffee production

A study of 5 windbreaks in Parana and Sao Paulo, 2.5, 6 or 10 yr old, 5 or 10 m tall, some pruned up to 2 m, with 1 or 2 rows, 6 m between rows and 5, 6 or 10 m between trees in a row. Good protection was obtained between 4 and 8x windbreak height from the trees. The best results were obtained with 1 row with 5 m between unpruned trees.
