Yeasts from natural paraffins in mixed feeds for pigs and poultry. 3. Performance experiment with broiler chickens

Yeasts from natural paraffins in mixed feeds for pigs and poultry. 3. Performance experiment with broiler chickens

Zhivotnov' dni Nauki 26(5): 73-79

In 2 experiments, 2580 4-line hybrid 23-H broiler chickens in 3 groups were given mixed feeds based on soyabean meal without or with yeasts grown on natural paraffins (paprin) or hydrolysate yeasts replacing 50% of dietary fish meal (experiment 1) or 25 to 30% of soyabean meal (experiment 2) from hatching to 54 of 55 days old. Inclusion of 2.5 to 3% paprin replacing fish meal or 6% replacing soyabean meal did not significantly affect gain, feed utilization or carcass characteristics.
