The Sesamum indicum Rajeshwari, selected from N62-39, has an average yield of 450 kg/ha and a high seed oil content (50-52%). It flowers after 30-35 days, matures in 80-85 days, has a 1000-seed weight of 3.01 g, is 80-85 cm tall and has 75-130 single, alternate, 3-3.5 cm long, tetralocular capsules.
