Plant Protection 13(6): 23-24

The pyralid Pseudobissetia terrestila was found on Phragmites communis in Weishan County, Shandong, China in 1980. This was the first record of the pest in this area. It had 1 generation a year, overwintering as a 4th-instar larva in plant remains. The larvae developed and fed inside the plant stems.
