Advances in sugarbeet weed control with a new formulation of phenmedipham, desmedipham and ethofumesate

The new formulation, Betanal Progress, contains 0.062 phenmedipham + 0.016 g desmedipham + 0.128 ethofumesate/litre and was developed with a view to the weed flora in Belgian sugarbeet. In the trials reported it gave good selective control of all the major weeds present with a low net dose rate. In laboratory tests, Betanal Progress showed no problems of crystallization over a wide range of concn.
