The development is outlined of the Suiza Dairy Company at San Juan, which now processes 44 million gal milk and juice per annum for the Puerto Rican market. 1 million lb milk/day is acquired and processed 6 days/wk in 2 HTST pasteurization and homogenization units each with a capacity of 6000 gal/h, and packaged into 2-, 1- and 0.5-pint paper cartons and 1-gal, 0.5-gal and 0.5-pint blow-moulded plastic containers.
