Abstract
Rice cv. Hwaseongbyeo was given 110 kg N + 70 kg P2O5 + 80 kg K2/ha with the N applied (a) 50, 20, 20 and 10% at sowing, tillering, panicle initiation and heading, resp., by broadcasting and incorporation, or (b) 50, 20, 20 and 10%, (c) 50, 0, 20 and 10% and (d) 40, 0, 20 and 10% at sowing, tillering, panicle initiation and heading, resp., by band application. Grain yields were (a) 5.77, 5.95 and 6.24 t/ha, (b) 5.42, 5.85 and 6.15 t, (c) 5.80, 5.89 and 6.07 t and (d) 6.37, 6.12 and 6.06 t with the 3rd fertilizer application at 35, 25 and 15 d before heading, resp. Data on plant growth composition and yield components are given.
