Biochemical characterization of some promising wheat lines of the Agricultural Research Station, Simnic



Probleme de Genetica Teoretica si Aplicata 23(3-4): 133-143



The results are presented of an analysis of total and essential amino acids, glutenins, gliadins, beta -amylase and acid phosphatase in the grain of 13 promising lines and the control variety Simnic 30. Wide variation was found in amino acid composition. Greater polymorphism was noted for beta -amylase than acid phosphatase.
