Biocontrol of soil-borne plant pathogens: building the ecological base

Deficient knowledge of the ecology of the rhizosphere, and the use of in vitro antagonism for selection of biocontrol agents, are identified as limitations to the development of inoculants for biocontrol of soil-borne pathogens.
