Calculations of stress distribution in the neighbourhood of an irrigation canal

, : Calculations of stress distribution in the neighbourhood of an irrigation canal. Wiadomosci Instytutu Melioracji i Uzytkow Zielonych 16(1): 171-179

Stress distribution in the areas surrounding an irrigation canal was calculated in order to find out why longitudinal cracks appeared in the bottom of the canal. Stress distribution and both horizontal and vertical displacements for different loadings including water filling and the influence of roads were analysed.
