Canada outbound

, : Canada outbound. Travel and Tourism Analyst ( 5): 41-57

Canadian outbound travel falls broadly into two categories; travel to the USA and travel overseas. To the USA, strong increases have taken place during the 1980s, both in terms of trips of one night or more, and in terms of day excursions, mainly, of course, by car. Travel overseas has also grown, but with some striking changes as well. Generally, travel to traditional European destinations has been weak while that to Asian destinations is growing rapidly.
